Yea, i have 1 bitcoin (and now 1 bitcoin cash)... I have 100 IOTA coins, 10 litecoins and 1 Ethereum.

Unless something drastic happens, I plan to sit on them all for the next 5-10 years or so and see what happens.

I bought the bitcoin when it was $150 and is now around $2700.... Hope that trend continues :D

you must be really happy right now. BTC is at almost 40k

  2. Hey,

I am going to take 2mg of prescribed Clonazepam and would appreciate any advice or help. I really don't wanna fuck things up.

I will take 2mg to see how much my visuals, mainly geometric hallucinations, will decrease. I will take it roughly 4 hours before I am going to sleep.

Also I am on 250mg Keppra a day.

I have done 1mg 4 months ago and didn't notice a decrease in visuals.

    1. Was the dosage simply to low? Can I expect to see a decrease in Visuals with 2mg?

I know you should not mix benzos with other drugs. And of course you should not take them every day to avoid addiction and dependency.

    2. Any other safer use or harm reduction  thing I didn't think of and need to know?

    3. Longterm benzo use can increase visuals. But this shouldn't happen for infrequent usage. Right?

I would really appreciate it if you can answer some of my questions. Thanks.

We all have our ups and downs.  I'll have weeks where I hardly notice my symptoms, other weeks they're more noticeable.  For me, it's how I'm feeling over the long haul.  That being said, my CEVs vanished over just a few weeks after having had them for a long time.  So, sudden improvements do occur.

Have you done anything special when your CEVs went away?

I've worked as a web developer/programmer for the past 20 yrs, and a couple of months ago my light sensitivity went up the roof, about the same time as my other symptoms exploded (vs, palinopsia, floaters, ghosting, CEVs, etc.), which lead to me having major difficulties sitting in front of computer screens and TVs because of the bright light.

I found out about a company that makes special pink tinted glasses for migraine patients on Twitter - someone who had visual snow had benefited from them - so I thought why not just try. So I ordered them and got them about 5 weeks ago. I put them on and suddenly I was able to focus on my work, watch TV and play games without feeling like getting a migraine every time - things I used to do before this brain mess started. It helps a lot, not just with the light sensitivity but the palinopsia seems calmer - seem to get less positive after images. Even my ghosting doesn't disturb me as much.

Generally my eyes feel less strained and even though it doesn't do much to stop the progressively worsening of my symptoms, they do help.

    Check them out here: https://www.theraspecs.com/

Quite expensive, especially if you live outside the US but totally worth it.

Hey, I am thinking about buying one of these glasses.  Do you still recommend them?

Maybe, but still, some of us have gotten hppd after TENS of uses of hallucinogens. Why would, all of a sudden, our bodies can't break down the metabolites like they had before? Its just all murky.

I got my HPPD 1 month after  my first acid trip. I stayed completely sober during that month.

    How is that even possibld?

Both Haloperidol and risperidone have worked for some people, although be aware that many report some worsening of symptoms at the beginning of the treatment

I guess Keppra helped with DP/DR, but not with open eye visuals?

Yeah, CEVs are less and DPDR is gone. Brain fog is gone too.

But OEVs are still the same. I would consider my HPPD as gone when I finally stop seeing patterns and demons like I had on my bad trip.

I dont really have Visual Snow, after images, tracers, trailling and the "typical" hppd symptoms.

I will start risperidone next friday in combination with Keppra and see how it goes.

  7. This is a very important question for me. We all know that antipsychotics can make VS Symptoms worse.

I dont have Visual Snow Syndrome symptoms. I am suffering from bad trip LSD visuals. I see patterns on the surface of objects.

So could antipsychotics be useful for my HPPD? I doubt that antipsychotics can make hallucinations worse. But has anyone experience with that?

    Thank you very much.

  8. I am feeling really really good when I am on keppra. I take 250mg when I wake up and it knocks out my DP completely. It also kills the brain fog.

I noticed a 30% reduction in CEVs so far.

When Keppra starts to wear off I notice an increase in DP. I Guess I have to take the second pill earlier.

I am on 500mg and I will add 250mg every 2 weeks until I reach 2000mg or when I will start noticing side effects. So far I dont notice any side effects anymore unless feeling awesome is a side effect.

I have hppd for only 3 months. I think with enough time, healthy lifestyle(keto) and the keppra treatment it can go away completely.

  9. Hey guys,

I personally have mild hppd for 2 and a half month and today I will start my Keppra medication. Brand name Keppra.

I am taking 250mg daily and will increase the dosage to 1500mg over the course of the next months. Maybe I will go for 2000mg or 3000mg in the long run.

I will write an update whenever I feel my symptoms decreased.

I've never taken medications for this disorder.  Well, not exactly true.  In my 30s I drank a bit more than was healthy.  Back when I started noticing symptoms it was the 1970s.  There weren't a lot of options back then.  Now, I manage just being clean.  If you dosed just that one time, and you're staying clean, then your prospects are good.

Would you explain why?  Now we have meds like keppra and lamictal which can decrease symptoms significantly and sometimes even cure hppd. I am just wondering.

I have similar symptoms, but there's nothing evil about what I experience.  I can't comment on medications because I didn't take that path.  I found that trying not to give my visuals too much attention helps.  It's not easy and there are times when it bothers me.  I guess it's all about focus.  Example, in my case sidewalks are the worst.  All the little stones.  First the ones with similar colors start to connect.  If I stare, the images become more complex and start to move.  If I focus on a thought, a song, a problem I'm trying to solve, then my focus isn't on my visual field and the visuals are more forgiving.

It's hard, I realize that.  All I can speak to is how I deal with this disorder.  Hope that helps.  Hang in there and take care.

Thank you. I dont have it as strong as you but it still disturbing me. I will probably get on lamictal and hope this helps.

I am sure it will go away on its own cause I only did acid once and havent done any other drugs.

You have never tried any meds? Not even keppra?

Again, thank you for your response.

  12. Hey guys,

I personally have mild hppd for 2 months. Almost no vs, slight after images and cevs. These symptoms are not really bothering me BUT I have geometric hallucinations which occur when I look at streets/carpets/some walls...

This wouldnt be that bad If the patterns I see would not be "evil" like I had on my bad trip.

Whats the best med to treat hallucinations? The doctors gave me risperidone but I havent taken it yet.

But can risperidone really make hallucinations worse? Is this possible? I guess it can make vs or after images worse, but can it make hallucinations worse?

I have only done acid once and have never done any drugs before. Not even weed so staying is no problem for me.

I will talk to my doc about lamotrigin. But what is the best way to treat this symptom?
