There were side effects that were horrible, but were not always a daily or even weekly frequency. but when they occurred which could happen anytime, they were horrible and made me emotionally numb, depressed.

Thank you! But as for benzos i have tried them and they are too short term and not as effective as keppra, too sedative and addicting. I use those for emergencies. I have looked at the topics on here but i can't find any good salvia caused hppd topics which i believe would help me best, but i'm open for any ideas. I just need to get over this extreme anxiety especially so i can live up to my life's ambitions as a 20 year old college student and musician/composer.

It's been almost two years ago since i was last on here on hppd online. i went offline for a long time because of keppra but now i've ran out and am searching for a new doctor because my previous one retired. Keppra isn't something i want to go back on though because of the sporadic side effects, i want to try something that doesnt have the chance of making me more depressed but i want to relieve my constant anxiety. Any help please? on medication and/or doctors in my area of Tacoma, WA, USA? Also please include any studies i may have to show any professionals concerning medication and especially HPPD, Thank you.

Hello can someone help me with my horrible constant anxiety and depression from salvia caused hppd? I used to take keppra 500 mg twice a day and then 1 gram Keppra XR (extended release) once a day, and as greatly as it helped me, it would have off and on/sporadic negative side effects like depression and suicidal thoughts but i still thought it was worth it because it tamed my anxiety which was horrible for me and still is now that i am of it. I live near Seattle WA area and am looking for a new doctor or nurse practitioner to help me with my hppd by prescribing me with the best possible med combo and therapy. Any suggestions and help? I need it desperately, i hate living like this and can't go back to keppra, i need to try something new, im hoping for a cure but treatment would be enough for me.

I would try keppra to see if that dissappates the social anxiety. I'm started on it last night of which I take 1 500 MG keppra tablet every night. I also have terrible social anxiety and I hope both of us can overcome and emancipate ourselves from it through Keppra. Hope Everything Goes Well. Richard

Thank you so much for the insight on keppra. I will try keppra again and see if after a month I see beneficial effects which I'm hopeful for. I'm just so glad you posted that insight on here, it brings me back the hope I lost.

I would definitely try Keppra. It has essentially "cured" many HPPD sufferers of their symptoms. I tried it for about 10 days but it eventually made my depression much worse, but that's just how my body reacted to it, others have had much better success. I currently take a benzo called Lorazepam or Ativan, and i know you said you didnt want to start benzos but if the keppra fails, you should ask your doc about ativan or even klonopin. I am also on a liquid form of lexapro in which i take 1 mL (1 mg) per day and will start to increase by 2 mL everyweek starting this next week. My doc has told me it should help with my social anxiety and depression. The ativan really helps me at school and i am waiting for the Lexapro positive affects to eventually kick in. need help asap please! i nearly committed suicide the other day and would really appreciate if anyone could help me in finding a doctor that understands hppd in my area. I live in Tacoma, WA, USA, which is about 30 miles south of Seattle, WA. I just want to be better so i can finally have the confidence to meet a girl and to love as well as my lifelong dream to pursue a career as a piano composer. I am 18 years old now and have had it since i was 16 (September 2, 2012)- yes i remember the exact date because since then it has been a living nightmare. Ever since I developed HPPD I have had Constant Depression and Consistent Anxiety of the extreme along with the disturbing visual snow and hallucinations.

Hello I live in Seattle, WA. I have had little help from hospitals, doctors, and psychiatrists so far in the last two years i have had hppd and really would appreciate any info on any doctors/psychiatrists that understand hppd or that will at least prescribe me keppra for I have heard that works well. I am willing to travel far, even to the east coast if I really have to. My main objective is to get better and would appreciate any info please. Thank you.
