  1. Well some experience a increase of visuals after using SRRI meds, i've read about a lot of people getting hppd-like symtoms after SSRI's too without earlier experiences of any drugs. Maybe too much serotonin damages receptors even more and meds that lo wers serotonin helps becouse we have a super high amount of serotonin constantly in our brains??? I have no idea about that though but i've read that GABA receptors have low activity in hppd brains and GABA calms the brains activity when needed and hppd'ers have abnormal activity in the visual cortex, therefor visual symtoms. Maybe our brains overanalyzes visual stimul (?) I don't know if anything that i'm saying is relevant though, pardon Me
  2. My seconds are like minutes, it's super annoying, it's like sitting in school all the time...
  3. And in alot of countries is atarax an over the counter supplement, try it! I don't experience any bad changes in hpps, it makes the static more thinner And you can't build up tolerance so you can keep a low dose all the time, or so my doctor says... *suspicious*
  4. Atarax is an allergy medecine/ antihistamine. Slightly anxiety reducing which is nice but you get tired as hell the day after...
  5. I only take atarax on the evenings to relieve my mind of the chaos in my brain when i'm trying to sleep but i wouldn't call it a medication becouse it's a frigging allergymedecine. So no, i think that i am following your example, no caffeine, drugs but occasionaly alcohol.
  6. Well would you look at that, i've started taking atarax and now i barely get any visual snow at all! Maybe anxiety triggers it i dunno.
  7. Ew?! Well it burns with righteous fire when you snort it... I haven't tried mdma actually, if it wasn't for hppd i would have tried everything! Too bad i freaked out and got scared of drugs after my second hallucinogen experience, curse you 4-ho-met and your high risk of overdosing !
  8. Thank you so much for all of your answers! I'm trying to not look for my visuals but it's quite hard since i see static whether i have my eyes open or closed
  9. I sure long for some mephedrone... The euphoria!!
  10. My visual snow/static became more intense than ever and i started to see geometrical patterns everywhere... I also started thinking about the bad trip that i am certain caused my hppd, i was very tired and i almost felt like i was tripping again and that caused the panic attack.
  11. I get this everynight and many times i realize what i am thinking and it gets me anxious.
  12. I agree to 100% My visuals got insane last night which led to a minor panic attack...
  13. Oh and by the way, i know that i am mentioning visuals as a general term but i mostly mean the visual snow, silly Me
  14. I don't know if it qualifys as double vision but i do really have problems focusing my eyes, they seem to cross each other which does not only give me double vision but it also makes me look like i have a screw loose...
  15. Your posts are really giving Me hope! Visual snow is by far my worst symtom, it might be strange to say but somehow i enjoy dp/dr a bit, i see it like i'm in a movie which i am in control of, well i don't mean that i am god but i don't want to screw things up in the "movie" just like in real life. It sounds trippy as hell but thats my way of coping with it, making it all a really real-life like movie! Maybe i should hit the bottle less this saturday night... Oh well, a good saturday night to all of you! And as Jimi Hendrix says: "There must be some kind of way out of here!"
  16. So nobody? :'( Well visual snow will gain publicity in April, hopefully...
  17. Hello again, i know that i am spewing out questions but i have nowhere else to turn. I got atarax, an antihisthamine (hydroxyzine) prescribed by a doctor for anxiety and they do work really but i am a bit anxious though becouse i am wondering if it can affect hppd in a bad way . So basically my question is: Has anyone experienced changes in their symtoms due to antihisthamines? Thank you all in advance! And again i apologize for my spelling, english is not my native language. Best regards! // Morbide
  18. Jimi Hendrix - All along the watchtower The first line is the best, a good reminder to hppd'ers!
  19. Hello! As the title says, i'm wondering if anyone has ever got rid of their visuals. I might have missed it if the question has already been asked though... Since my visual snow is imo my worst symtom, i'll do anything to get rid of it and i feel that visual snow is the symtom that gives me the most anxiety which then leads to dp and dr. A bit mushy text maybe, english is not my native language. Best regards // Morbide
  20. Thank you so much for you answer Still_here, i woke up this morning, happy after a crazy dream and then i realized my room is full of static and that made me sad... But then i read your post and realized that there is no reason what so ever to let the hppd control my life, i will control IT. And WindScar i noticed it here: http://www.eyeonvision.org/ Here is a copy paste: AAN Annual Meeting Dr. Goadsby and Dr. Schankin will also be discussing the topic of visual snow at the annual Meeting of the American Academy of Neurology. This is set for April 21 through 28, 2012, in New Orleans. The AAN Annual Meeting will feature more than 2,000 scientific research presentations and key lectures on the latest advancements in the prevention and treatment of brain disorders. This is the first time that visual snow will have this sort of exposure and credibility within the medical community. 21. I sure hope that my hppd will go away, and no i will never ever touch drugs again, only nicotine and some alcohol. Oh and by the way, my worst symptom is the visual snow and for people who feel the same, there is going to be a meeting between neurologists im America soon, in April i think, this is a huge annual meeting and this will be the first time ever that visual snow will be presented officially!
  22. Hello! I am new to this forum but not to hppd and all that comes with it. Since i am new here, let me give you a background check: I'm 18 years old, a student and i come from Stockholm, Sweden. I did 4-ho-met once during the autumn 2011, i think i overdosed it becouse it was a trip from hell, the world itself desintegrated... Anyhow, a couple of months after that i noticed the walls moving at home while watching tv and as the worrying type that i am i directly made a search for "4-ho-met side effects" and i read about hppd, it was spot on. So i've suffered from extreme dp/dr, after images, trails, halos, moving ground and visual snow from hell for a couple of months now but last night somwthing wierd happened. I sat at my computer until about 01:00 at night and did my before-bed routine, i jacked off (might be irrelevant, might not) and lit a cigarette at the balcony and then i realized something was wrong. I felt like a human being and i could see darkness, like pale black for the first time in months, i looked up at the sky and i saw stars! I became so happy i almost started crying, i went inside and looked myself in the mirror and i saw a soul, not a mindless shell. Every symptom i had was completely gone but then they came back, first came the snow out of nowhere, like if someone had pushed a button, and with it came the dp/dr, anxiety and the rest. So does anyone have any idea why everything went away for a while (it felt like an eternity)? Was it becouse i was super relaxed maybe? I mean orgasm + a cigarrette is almost like doing drugs now a days. I apologize if i'm writing crappy, english is not my native language Best regards // Morbide
