Chente455: I smoked weed throughout my HPPD recovery, I got mine from ayahuasca so that may vary for you, my symptoms were more severe compared to what you describe, sounds like you've got a depression of some sort causing the slowness in thought. I'm sure you will recover but never take acid again.
  2. My psych prescribed quetiapine to me for HPPD, I read about it on erowid and was sure not to take them.
  3. I got HPPD a year ago from ayahuasca and 10 weeks after that I got very bad DP/DR after messing with aya again, after images would last minutes, impaired motor function. existential thoughts, visual snow, macropsia, everything looking unreal, etc. I've reached a similar place as OP, all symptoms have decreased to a manageable level and life bears more resemblance to what it used to be like. I've exercised everyday but also drank beer and smoked weed throughout, I had mdma and speed intermittently and I recovered at the same rate as when I stayed sober even though getting intoxicated exacerbated symptoms. I avoided anti depressants or any other pharmas. My diet stayed the same, I had a spell taking 5-htp and other vitamins but not sure they did anything. The best thing ultimately has been sleep and time. I've only ever tripped on smoked dmt and ayahuasca, no acid or mushrooms.

I've been taking lions mane mushroom for two weeks, I think theres been a direct improvement, alertness and closer to being 'in the moment', I do notice the difference when I haven't had any for a day, head pressure starts mounting etc. Got bacopa monnieri on it's way and will try piracetam after that. I have not had any side effects from lions mane. On a side note I had mdma twice in the last week and after each time my floaters diminished, I can hardly see any where there used to be a spatter of them
  5. Definitely try 5HTP 200mg a day and see how it goes, I'm starting to sense a connection between missing 5HTP and an increase in symptoms. I have improved significantly since my last post, though my HPPD may be different from others as it was from ayahuasca which I haven't been able to find any stories linked to permanent HPPD. I could be 100% wrong on all this mind you, just my current opinion.
  6. For me, weed makes it come up worse but doesn't halt or reverse the recovery process. I got my HPPD a month ago through big dose of formosahuasca, never taken other psyches/entheogens apart from changa/dmt and mdma.. The symptoms are wearing away agonizingly slowly. 5HTP has been good to me so far. HPPD is really serious I would urge anyone dabbling in psyches to always keep well on the safe side of dosing and frequency of use, or you might wake up in a permanent hell.
  7. I've been taking 50mg 5HTP but just took 200mg an hour ago and I feel an improvement, stabilizing of objects, slightly faster frame rate refresh rate i.e. less trails, and felt a connection for a moment, god I want this shit gone for good

About to become senior programmer, worked tirelessly on music, went gym stoned 5 days a week and running after.. not as bad as many peoples stories who my heart goes out to, 2c-i seems to be a big contributor I hope you guys get better. I've not come across one satisfying hppd full recovery story yet, stay away from all psychedelics for their incurable nature if things go wrong.
  9. Sorry to hear about your time in the army, that sounds hellish on its own. On the aya, I also kept upping the dose until it smashed me when I got the brewing method right and forgot to test by sipping. One month on and I see tracers and if I get stoned objects skew. Are you still experiencing HPPD and is there any advice you could give, like should I stop smoking weed? Hope youre better mate, cheers.
