Always wet eyes

If you're eyes are always wet it's probably because the oil layer of your tears needs replenishing. Best and quickest way to cure that is with some good over the counter dry eye drops 3 times a day for a couple of weeks. I know it seems mad adding more eye drops onto watery eyes but the reason your eyes are watering is because they are dry due to poor quality tears. Your tears are made up of 3 layers: mucus, aqueous and lipid. If there is no lipid later on the surface of your tears then the aqueous layer will evaporate way too quickly and so your lacrimal gland will keep on pumping out lots of aqueous to compensate, hence the watery eyes.

Your Meibomian glands that produce the oil or lipid layer are probably blocked so I would also do some warm compresses morning and night. Just run a flannel or edge of a towel under a hot tap for a few mins, ring it out, check that the towel isn't too hot and then gently push it against your closed eyes and hold it there for a minute. Repeat these steps 3-4 times for 1 session.

If your eyes are itching as well then it may just be cause by an allergy. If that's the case then avoid the allergen and possible use a mast cell stabiliser eye drop called Opticrom.
