Harnessing Genome Editing Technologies to Functionally Validate Genetic Variants in Substance Use Disorders (R21/R33) - See more at: http://grants.nih.gov/grants/guide/rfa-files/RFA-DA-16-004.html#sthash.5md1gCMT.dpuf

The purpose of this initiative is to harness genome or epigenome editing technologies to functionally validate and characterize genetic or epigenetic variants involved in substance use disorders.  The purpose is also that the genetic resources generated will be made broadly available to the scientific community to probe more deeply into the neurobiological mechanisms involved in the function of a variant, gene, or pathway and provide critical foundational knowledge for the development of future prevention, diagnostic, and therapeutic strategies. - See more at: http://grants.nih.gov/grants/guide/rfa-files/RFA-DA-16-004.html#sthash.5md1gCMT.dpuf
