  1. just saw this had some gaba effects, thought it might be worth a try Flavonoid Myricetin Modulates GABA(A) Receptor Activity through Activation of Ca(2+) Channels and CaMK-II Pathway. - Abstract - Europe PMC
  2. and for sleep apnea it might be worth checking out buteyko breathing. Patrick mckeown has some vids on it.
  3. i found brain fog and general fatigue the symptoms most manageable with supplements. Start with n acetyl cysteine. Buy the powder, take a gram and work up to 5g to see if it does anything. If it does then you can go down to a lower maintenance dose. Also methylated b vits. I take these Optimum Vitamin B Complex - Phoenix Nutrition sometimes bumped up with additional methyl folate, like if i drink a lot of alcohol Methyl Folate Tablets - Phoenix Nutrition. Use methyl b in case you have mthfr issues which is quite likely. You will likely get further benefit from 5000iu vit d3 supplement and other amino acids (personally i take about a gram of nac with about 4g arginine and about 10g or less essential amino acids in the morning, too much eaa makes me drowsy probably due to tryptophan). Hope this helps.
  4. Seems other types of mag don’t increase mag in brain or cns. This one does. I’ve got some just arrived will check in later on with observations. Meanwhile here is a paste from a longecity user: I took 2 grams daily =144mg of elemental magnesiumEventually upped that too 2g bi-dailyThere is a memantine like "brain fog" NMDA induction period for around a week it's like um....."memantine light" in the dis associative effects for the first week or so I noticed a variety of nootropic effectsClearer vision was noted almost immediately upon my first 1gram dose This has always continued albeit less pronouncedShort term memory improvements are huge and memory consolidation seems more "efficient" hard too describe sorry but it's like instance retrieval of my memories becomes INSTANT no scratching the beard prodding the brain for a relation too something you just mentally digested win the last monthVerbal fluency and general anxiolytic action are both felt too an extreme degree and I think being calm and relaxed plays a big part especially with or where professional employment / public appearance is concerned
  5. Does anyone have any success simply increasing general gaba? Good for head pressure? Here is a paste from longecity: Picamilon is gaba tied to a vitamin which crosses the BBB and agonises both GABAA and GABAB, its effects are mild, it anecdotially induces some nootropic type effects. Phenelzine, a MAOI that has a metabolite which induces reuptake of GABA, supposedly makes it a superior MAOI and highly effective for SA, as it also acts on all other implicated neurotransmitters. GABOB, also agonises both gaba receptors, is a mild anticonvulsant. Tiagabine, a gaba reuptake inhibitor, I made a overview of the therapeutic effects it has for the treatment of mental illness. GHB, acts as a GABAB and GHB receptor agonist, therapeutically used for alcohol addiction, in some people it caused ppl to get addicted to it but the addition of naltrexone took away the addictive rewarding effects according to a few case reports, making it a potential therapeutic drug for a lot of mental illnesses. Phenibut, feels like a mild version of GHB, anecdotes report potent anxiolytic effects but rapid tolerance occurs and there are hororstories of terrible withdrawal after taking it longer then 3 days, but a few days of baclofen or clonazepam/diazepam abloriates the withdrawal painlessly and easily, according to anecdotes including my own. Baclofen, lacks the potent anxiolytic effects of GHB and phenibut but works effectively for promoting rational decision making and addiction according to several anecdotes, many anecdotes confirm it completely removes alcohol addiction during taking it, craving and withdrawal making it a painless agent for the treatment of alcoholism, several books are written on it. Muscimol, is a potent gabaa and gabab agonist with mild hallucinogenic effects. KAVA KAVA, upregulates GABAB Magnolia bark, a herb as potent as a low dose of diazepam and according to a anecdote dramatically potentiates phenibut by some mechanism. Nefiracetam, increases GABA in the brain. Fasoracetam upregulate GABAB I'm sure I'm forgetting a couple, but this should get your research started.
  6. on dopamine, I didn't get any noticeable effect from tyrosine, but did from arginine (plus pine bark extract which synergises), tho can't be sure it is a dopamine effect, but kind of feels like what I would expect dopamine to feel like, albeit mild.
  7. ive now ordered some pine bark extract that is meant to increase nitric oxide so meant to synergise with arginine, lets see what happens.
  8. ive got some second thoughts on arginine. I didnt give it a proper chance before. So i thought i would give it a go again after all this time. I took it and felt drowsy so next day took at night but in morning felt good, fairly clear and energised. This drowsy response went after a couple of days so now take in morning and night. It seems to give me more focus and general stamina, like i don't feel like going for a nap when i get home from work, and feel enough motivation to do things like tidy up a bit.
  9. surely we can find 10 people on here willing to do this?!
  10. my dizziness sounds like joselillo's. Sort of like a wobbling inside the head rather than the spinning like with inner ear problems. I have found much to help with anxiety and fatigue but nothing has helped with dizziness, head pressure, or visuals. Not tried many meds, mainly just supps.
  11. https://www.onnit.com/academy/the-carnivore-diet/ http://meatheals.com/ seems like the benefits of keto but supercharged, eliminates inflammatory toxins found in plants, apparently lack of vit c and fibre not a problem.
  12. ive started using the glasses off app to apparently increase contrast sensitivity and brain processing speed. I think i do feel a bit quicker in the head and my stats are improving on the app for what they are worth. No change to hppd tho.
  13. bit of a stab in the dark here, but if visual disinhibition is overloading the processing capacity of the aware brain, in an analogous way to having a pre-amp that is too big for the main amp causing distortion, then could there be exercises that increase the brain's visual processing? So analagous to increasing the main amp size so the pre amp doesn't cause distortion. It reminds me of the jason bourne film where he has amnesia but is super aware of everything going on around him due to his special forces training. I wonder if we could do something similar to improve our visual awareness so it is capable of coping with the excess inputs.
  14. i would think it more likely that a preexisting autoimmune would be a predisposing factor rather than hppd causing an ai response. However ai can occur after stress so maybe a trip could count as a trigger stress to an ai response and cause hppd or at least create some of its symptoms.
  15. interesting. I had brain fog before i touched drugs, maybe auto immune. Prompted by this thread, I went and had some blood tests for common and easy to test autoimmunes, which doesn't include cerebral ai. They all came back negative which i expected. However, my neutrophils were a bit low, which could indicate some sort of chronic infection or ai. I have a neuro appointment in september so will see if they can test for any cerebral ai.
  16. as you are on a peptide roll, have you thought about selank?
  17. i like your reports on the 'fake medicines', it's useful to have the regular updates.
  18. has anyone had their sleep analysed? Would be interesting to see if sleep cycle disturbance is associated with hppd, given the importance of sleep to integrating experience properly.
  19. yeh i think his point about not being obsessive is about avoiding vinegar rather than avoiding booze. I'm sure avoiding booze is fine but if you go into getting anxious about avoiding fvinegar or i dunno like people wearing perfume or using hand sanitizer or whatever you may get an alco microdose from then you may end up not helping yourself. Perfectionism is not mentally healthy.
  20. slight tangent, but i started taking 400mg of calcium (as carbonate dissolved in malic acid) as my blood level showed up as on the low border of normal. It knocked me out and i slept for much longer on the first dose. I took it before bed next time and again within half an hour i was really drowsy and even a bit euphoric till i (quickly) went to sleep. I have heard of magnesium doing this but not calcium. I think the effect of each dose has started to wear off a bit after a week but i only take before bed so hard to tell, but don't get the intense lovely drowsiness any more. I googled it and it seems it helps regulate circadium rhythm by creating melatonin. I wonder if you improve sleep enough the unprocessed hallucinogen information would gradually get properly consolidated into memory rather than staying conscious.
  21. interesting. I had brain fog before i touched drugs, maybe auto immune. Ive booked a blood test for may 2nd but will only be for common types not brain types, so will probably have to get a brain ai test via a neurologist which on the nhs will probably happen when i can draw my pension.

Granite and hannah, what countries are you in? How did you decide which tests to do, did a specialist refer you?
